Assistive Technology Request
The Assistive Technology Industry Association defines Assistive Technology (AT) as; products, equipment, and systems that enhance learning, working, and daily living for persons with disabilities.
● AT can be low-tech: noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, compression vests, swings, and adaptive seating/mobility such as a wagon or stroller
● AT can be high-tech: Augmentative Alternative Communication Devices, adaptive switches, or specialized software such as Co-writer or TouchChat
● AT can be ANYTHING to enhance the lives of individuals with special needs.
